Coolant System Service

At L & M Foreign Cars, we provide professional coolant flush services to keep your engine running at the proper temperature and prevent costly breakdowns. Regular coolant maintenance helps protect vital components like your water pump, radiator, and heater system from rust, scale, and premature failure.

COOLANT FLUSH OF YOUR ENGINES COOLANT SYSTEM

Antifreeze aka engine coolant is vital in keeping your engine running. Engines create a lot of heat when they are running. In order to keep the engine within proper running temperature coolant is pumped through the engine black by the water pump which carries the heat away from the engine over to the radiator where it can be cooled off and then recirculated back into the engine. This cooling cycle is in constant motion whenever the engine is running. A properly running engine is usually between 195°- 220°F

COOLING SYSTEM SERVICE

Coolant flushes are necessary to keep rust and scale deposits from building up in your coolant system. Antifreeze loses it anti-corrosive properties over time which allows contaminants to build up, flushing out your coolant removes these contaminants and will extend the life of your water pump as well as other cooling system components.

If left unchecked the contaminates will build up in your coolant system and cause premature failure of your water pump, radiator, heater valve, or other coolant system components. Cooling system failure is one of the top reasons for vehicle breakdown and can lead to expensive repairs.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CHANGE MY COOLANT?

As a good general rule we recommend flushing out your coolant once a year as preventative maintenance to keep your cooling system working efficiently, however we recognize that each car manufacturer is different. Feel free to call us or schedule an appoint here with us at L & M Foreign Cars for any coolant system service you may need.
